This split tape gathers two EPS : The Side A produced by industrial / noise experimentalist from Japan, h8no.3. and Side B from American hip-hop / noise artist Base.
h8 no.3 is an industrial / noise project that started in 1998 as a three piece hardcore / punk band “Hate no.3”, and was restarted in 2008 as an industrial / noise one man project run by Jirinof078.
“Killing time of the watchers” features three tracks originally released in 2019 centered around human and Japanese dark and occult parts of its culture, three tracks sometimes backed with guitar riffs, sometimes with beats, muffled and / or distorted voice recordings, screams creating an oppressive atmosphere, while the watchers are monitoring all your movements.
BASE, a frequent Solium Records collaborator, is back with another release on the label.
Having released music since 2016, focusing on an heavily saturated production and highly textured beats onto which he declaims often pitched or distorted bars. then hunger did what sorrow could not, his 4th album since 2017 to be released on that date and 9th release consists of five short tracks experimenting with blending analog and digital drum recordings. It's a mostly experimental album dwelling in harsh sounds and drum loops while still utilizing his tonal palette.
This collab was made possible by the strength of world wide networks, music recommendations and people willing to work together around a common project. From Japan to Kentucky, through France toward the rest of the world we offer you this partnership in chaos. We are connected to ourselves.
